Kat Tran, a multimedia journalist from Gainesville, Florida, is a profound leader in communications and all things visual. Their work is documented through media publications and outlets at the University of Florida. Their most recent work includes two photo galleries and a multimedia story covering Vietnamese American Trump supporters and anti-Trump protestors from Florida who attended Donald Trump’s Inauguration in Washington, D.C. produced for WUFT News, an NPR and PBS affiliate north central Florida station.
Tran’s upbringing on the suburban beaches of Daytona Beach, Florida, has influenced them to gravitate toward local, environmental, civil rights, race and equity, and entertainment topics and issues.
