About me
Roy Barbosa is a seasoned community journalist, human rights and environmental advocate from Metro Manila. He is well-regarded for his work in human rights and environmental journalism. He began his career as a campus journalist and eventually became the regional coordinator for the College Editors Guild of the Philippines National Capital Region (CEGP – NCR) where he helped rebuild and strengthen campus publications during the pandemic.
Currently, Barbosa is the news and features editor of Manila Today, a progressive news outfit that covers a wide range of topics, including political, social, and environmental issues. He is also the current chairperson of their media outfit’s chapter of the National Union of Journalists of the Philippines (NUJP).
